Bridge Program
Bridge programs are transitional programs for slum children. VOS reaches out to school dropout or never enrolled kids who are between the ages of 4-12 years and not in education. After systematically following designed approach of engaging with stakeholder’s kids are engrossed in VOS Bridge course at our center in Noida.

The main objective behind this program is to open doors for formal education for the children. The Bridge program is designed in manner to improve the preparation and ease into the transition.


Preparing kids for academics: These children have never been to school, so they have not acquired the foundational skills that are essential for moving ahead in the formal school. The challenge is how to enable such children to acquire basic reading, writing and arithmetic as per their age, quickly and durable so they get a real chance to complete the elementary stage in a meaningful way. Age appropriate curriculum is followed by our center teachers so that these children learn the basics and are ready to go to formal school.
Preparing to face the formal school: To grow well and thrive, a child needs support not only from the school, but also from the family and the community. The kids are prepared with basic life skills like etiquettes and grooming, managing and accepting new environment of the school and face its challenges successfully. VOS field co-ordinators are constantly on their toes in the community, interacting with parents, peers and all required for the sustenance of the child in the Bridge course.
